The Scout Accounts house the money from any fundraiser where the scout receives a profit (i.e., Poinsettia sale). There are also times when you may have overpaid for a trip (due to last minute changes in event logistics) or you paid and your scout is not able to attend. We often, with your approval, can transfer any overpayment to the Scout Account.
You are able to use the funds toward future monthly events (i.e., Cub-O-Ree, Klondike, Summer Camp). It is your responsibility to inquire about the funds in your scout's account and ask they be applied to an event. If you need to know your scout's balance and/or wish to apply any funds to an event, please send an e-mail to the Troop Treasurer, John Gerhart at jtg1989@yahoo.com and he will confirm with you.

Not long ago, our troop tents were in bad shape - leaking water and letting bugs in. 2 successful Troop car washes raised enough funds to purchase new tents without increasing scout dues.
