Eagle Project at Vernfield, Saturday, July 11
This is Ian and I am currently working on my Eagle project. I am having a work day for my project Saturday the 11th. The project will be tearing down an old wooden bridge, and hauling it to the dumpsters. I need as many people as possible so all help is appreciated.
Location: Behind Vernfield Elementary School (there will be parking behind the school)
Time: 9am-2pm.
Bring: Work gloves, safety glasses, closed toe shoes, water, and if possible bring pry bars or hammers.
We will be providing food around lunch time.

Eagle Project at Salford Hills Elementary, Sunday, July 26
Location: Salford Hills Elementary School (2721 Barndt Rd.).
Time: 10am-3pm
Bring: Work gloves, water bottle, rakes if you have them
Ethan Lane is planning a work day for his Eagle project.
Rain date will be August 9, at the same times.
We will be helping renovate the school's memorial garden. Projects will include:
Weeding
Mulching
Resetting a paver walkway
General cleanup and garden improvements
We will have some tools available for those who need them.
Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.
This is a great opportunity to serve our community while helping restore and beautify an important memorial space. I hope to see many of you there!
Welcome Back Troop Activity (IronPigs Game), Sunday, August 30
We will attend an IronPigs Game as a welcome back activity in August. If you have never been to a professional baseball game, this is a fantastic first experience. We will be joining with Pack 137 for a great time. This is the BEST way to experience professional baseball, the seats are close, the food is reasonably priced and it is a short drive. Everyone is invited, this is a family event, bring your parents, grandparents, siblings, cousins, friends, etc. We would love to have 100 people in our group.
Location: Lehigh Valley IronPigs Stadium, Coca Cola Park, 1050 IronPigs Way, Allentown
Arrival time: Game starts at 1:05 pm. Meet at the Stadium.
Depature time: When the game is over.
Uniform: Class B's
Cost: $13 (includes a $2 credit at the concession stand)
Bring: Hat, Sunscreen.

September 11 Remembrance Service, Friday, September 11, 2026
We will be assisting with a September 11 Remembrance Service as a community service activity. This is an important opportunity for Scouts to honor those who lost their lives on 9/11 and support our local first responders. We are counting on our Scouts to help ensure the event runs smoothly and respectfully.
Scouts will serve as ushers, assist attendees with setting up lawn chairs and blankets, distribute programs, help collect donations, and provide general assistance throughout the evening. At the conclusion of the event, Scouts will help police the grounds for trash and litter.
Location: Souderton Rotary Park
Scout Time: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Service Start Time: 6:00 PM
Departure Time: Following completion of the service and cleanup duties.
Uniform: Class A
Bring: A helpful attitude and willingness to serve.
Scout Responsibilities
Assist older attendees with lawn chairs and seating areas
Hand out bulletins/programs
Serve as ushers during the service
Collect offerings and donations for the Souderton Volunteer Fire Company and Telford Volunteer Fire Company
Provide additional assistance as needed
Help clean the grounds after the event

Lehigh Valley Bike Train and Camping, Friday, September 18th – Sunday, September 20
Location: Lehigh Gorge State Park (Biking), Hickory Run State Park (Camping)
Cost: $45 pp (for the train and the camp site), add $30 if you need to rent a bike.
Come ride with us through the beautiful Lehigh River Gorge. This is one of our most popular camping trips. The bike ride is 25 miles. We load our bikes on the bike train in Jim Thorpe and ride the train to White Haven. You’ll ride along the slight downhill grade of an abandoned railroad bed for 25 miles and follow the river all the way through the Lehigh Gorge State Park on the D&L Trail back to Jim Thorpe.
As you pedal at your own pace, you will see fantastic rock formations, tumbling waterfalls and abundant wildlife. We will stop for a picnic at one of the little picnic stops along the trail, explore the ruined locks of the former Lehigh Canal, or marvel at the Penn Haven Planes – a relic from the early railroad era.
Sunday morning, we will complete an orienteering challenge in the park.
Bring: Class B uniform, bike and helmet, water bottle, sunscreen, hat, weather-appropriate clothing/gear, scout manual

Bike Train Signup
Annual Scout Cub-O-Ree, Saturday, October 10
Location: Parkside Place Park, 1 Parkside Place, North Wales, Pa.
We are participating in Cuboree this year as a Saturday only event. Therefore, we will not be camping over. You should plan on arriving at Cuboree no later than 8 am on Saturday and be picked up no later than 4:30 pm. We will have donuts available for breakfast on Saturday and the troop will host the Cub Scout Pack for lunch, so scouts are not responsible for providing any food. General Nash district will have a snack stand available to purchase snacks and drinks.
Uniform: Class A's
Cost: $12
Cost covers: Patch and Lunch
Bring: Camp chair, water bottle, hat, sunscreen, sweatshirt/jacket in case it gets cold, scoutbook
Deadline to sign up and pay: Thursday, Oct. 8
We do need adult volunteers to help with lunch on Saturday, let Joel know if you are interested.
Climbing Trip, Friday, October 16 - Sunday, October 18
Location: High Rocks (Climbing with Doylestown Rock Gym), Tohickon Valley State Park (Camping)
Spend the day outside, on real rocks, challenging yourself in the vertical world. No experience is necessary. Everything you need for climbing will be provided along with professional guides.
After climbing on Saturday, scouts will be able to work on their Astronomy merit badge (weather permitting)
Cost: $90
Departure: 6 pm from the Scout Cabin
Return Times: 11 am to the Scout Cabin
Bring: Class A uniform to wear to and from the camping trip. Camping gear, hat, sunscreen, water bottle, etc.
Deadline: October 1 to make sure we can get enough guides for our group.
You will need to fill out Online Waivers and Med Forms for Doylestown Rock Gym, they will be sent out later.
Thanksgiving Camping Trip, November 13 - 15
This is our annual Thanksgiving Camping trip. Patrols will cook Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday night, each patrol will be responsible for a side dish and a dessert. Leaders will provide the Turkeys. In addition to cooking dinner on Saturday, scouts will be able to shoot shotguns and rifles at the ranges and work on the astronomy merit badge (weather permitting)
Location: Ockanickon Scout reservation. We have rented a cabin, so Scouts will have the option of sleeping in the heated cabin, or in tents.
Departure time: 6 pm on Friday from the Scout Cabin
Approx. Return time: 11 am on Sunday back to the Scout Cabin
Uniform: Class A's for travel, Class B's for the day
Cost: $25 (includes site rental, dinner on Saturday and shooting costs)
Bring: Warm Clothes (jacket, hat, gloves). Appropriate Footwear, Scoutbook, pocket knife, camping gear.
